Homecoming Open House at the Natural History Building

The complete renovation of Natural History Building on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is now complete! During the past three years, the building was completely gutted and rebuilt inside.

From 2-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, the School of Earth, Society, and Environment will host an open house in NHB, allowing visitors to wander through the building and enjoy the visual impact of how new and old architectural elements merge. Students posted at locations around the building will explain how facilities will be used. This event will be open to everyone.

NHB is the home for the School of Earth, Society, and Environment (SESE), and its three departments (the Department of Geology; the Department of Geography and GIS; and the Department of Atmospheric Sciences). It's also home to the School of Integrative Biology's teaching facilities.
